Just as some metrics are essential to your business, there are many others that are actually vanity metrics. These metrics should be avoided at all costs, as they do not help you make decisions or gain useful insights.
So how do I know if a metric is a vanity metric?
When you are considering displaying any type of thai phone numbers information on your Business Dashboard, ask yourself the following questions:
Do I need to know this information to complete the day?
Is it a contextual and specialized metric?
Can I make decisions with data like this?
Is it difficult to measure, and not just a simple fact?
Is it a relative value, and not an absolute one?
If your answer is no to any of these questions, then you are looking at a vanity metric. To give you an idea, here are some examples of metrics that don't really help you achieve business goals. At least, not without first processing them and comparing them to other KPIs:
Website visits (does not indicate conversion)
Total customers (does not define the value of your business)
Total invoiced (not compared to other time periods)
All the information in one control panel
As you can see, company dashboards are a very powerful productivity tool.
With them you can organize all of your business information on a single screen - the idea is that nothing gets overlooked, and that you can work day to day in a more comfortable and efficient way.
