The 301 Redirect in WordPress is one of the great unknowns when it comes to managing content updates on a business's website.
As your business grows, there will inevitably come a point where you'll find pages or blog posts that you'll want to delete or change their URL to improve your SEO.
You might think this is pretty easy: just delete the page in question or change its address and all the work is done.
TRUE?
Well no. It's not done.
In fact, not only is it not done, but what is worse: it is poorly done.
And what's worse: it's poorly done and you may be harming your cyprus telegram lead website's positioning in search engines like Google.
Because, practically every time you execute an action of this type, you should perform this 301 redirect that I told you about at the beginning of this article.

How to make a 301 redirect in WordPress
What is a 301 Redirect?
A 301 redirect is nothing more than sending the user to an existing page on your website even if the user has clicked or entered into the browser a URL that does not exist on that same website.
Let me explain better with an example.
Imagine that, for SEO reasons, you decide to change the URL of a post on your blog or a page on your website.
But of course, this post or page already had quite a few links from other pages or posts with the old URL, both inside and outside your website (what are known as external links).
Are we going to be changing all these links and even asking whoever linked to us from an external website to change this link one by one?
Well, no. Because that's a job for the Chinese.
Let's do something simpler: let's tell WordPress that the old URL has been changed to a new one (the modification we made) by implementing a 301 redirect.
This way, we will do the job once and even if there are users who access the old URL, they will be automatically redirected to the new one we have set.
